Dr Jane Girling

2016 (November round)

Dr Jane Girling is a researcher in the field of endometriosis in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. The funds form this award will allow Jane to present at the World Congress on Endometriosis in Vancouver, the Canadian Pain Society Meeting in Halifax, and with visiting potential collaborators in the Centre for Paediatric Pain Research and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Dalhousie University and the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. It will allow me to discuss, in person, future research plans related to menstrual and pelvic pain in adolescent girls with both current and potential collaborators. The trip will aid in reinforcing my international reputation as a researcher working on menstrual disturbance. In addition, it will also promote the extensive research programme on endometriosis based here in Melbourne.
