Dr Natalie Hannan

Dr Natalie Hannan is a NHMRC R.D. Wright CDF1 Senior Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne; she leads the Therapeutics Discovery Group within the Translational Obstetrics Group. Dr Hannan is dedicated to the development of novel treatment strategies for major complications of pregnancy, particularly preeclampsia. Dr Hannan is also the current ANZPRA President. The SRB Visiting Lecturer Award will allow Dr Hannan to attend and present at the 2018 International Society for the Study of Hypertension in Pregnancy (ISSHP) conference held in October in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Whilst in Europe, Dr Hannan will also use the grant-in-aid to present her research and visit potential collaborators (Dr Hapangama, Dr Sharp, Prof Weeks and Prof Alfirevic) at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Liverpool. In addition, to discuss the commercialisation of a diagnostic test developed by her research team with the board of directors at Oxford Nanopore Technologies Ltd, Oxford.
