Gareth Evans
Gareth graduated from Oxford (BA) and Sydney (PhD) and worked as a research fellow at Illinois, Western Ontario, Edinburgh and INRA, Nouzilly, France. During 25 years at the University of Sydney Gareth trained 45 higher degree research students, published 1 book, several book chapters, edited international conference proceedings, published 180 refereed research articles in international journals, and presented numerous papers at national and international conferences, mostly in the area of assisted reproduction in farm animals (AI, superovulation and embryo transfer, sperm sexing, etc). He has provided training courses in Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Hungary. He was awarded the university’s Excellence in Teaching Award in 1991. Gareth was Associate Dean for Research in Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney before he retired in 2008 and is now an Emeritus Professor there.
